The Music of IU

 

I recetenly saw the music video for IU's song "Love Wins All." Among the many scenes, the one that left the deepest impression was when the two main characters found a camera in a ruined space and used it to see each other through the lens.

나는 최근에 아이유 노래 'Love Wins All'의 뮤직 비디오를 보았다. 여러 장면 중 두 주인공이 폐허가 된 공간에서 카메라를 발견하고, 그 렌즈를 통해 서로를 비춰 주는 모습이 가장 인상 깊었다.

 

Although their reality was in ruins, the world through the camera lens seemed cozy and warm. That scene seemed to show how the world can feel completely different depending on which lens you use to view it.

현실은 폐허와 다름없었지만, 카메라 렌즈로 본 세상은 아늑하고 따뜻해 보였다. 그 장면은 같은 세상도 어떠한 렌즈를 끼고 바라보는지에 따라, 전혀 다르게 느껴질 수 있음을 보여 주는 것 같다.

 

After watching the video, I reflected on which lens I use to look at others. Like the two main characters, I want to view the world through a lens that avoids prejudice and treats others with a sincere attitude.

영상을 감상한 후 나는 어떤 렌즈로 타인을 바라보는지 생각해 보았다. 나도 두 주인공처럼 편견을 멀리하고 진실된 모습으로 타인을 대하는 렌즈로 세상을 바라봐야겠다.
