I am an ordinary mom raising a first-grade daughter. Unlike many other kids these days, my daughter has never had to receive treatment for cavities. Having gone through cavity treatments many times myself, I established a few rules for my child's dental care.

First, we've been visiting a children's dental clinic every three months for regular oral check-ups since she was 18 months old. She also receives fluoride(플로라이드) treatments every six months. Second, every single night before bed, we brush and floss her teeth. Even after brushing thoroughly, flossing often reveals leftover food particles. Third, I avoid giving her gummy snacks that could stick to her teeth.

첫째, 생후 18개월 때부터 3개월마다 어린이 치과에 방문하여 정기 구강 검진을 받고 있습니다. 또 한 6개월마다 불소 도포 처치를 받습니다. 둘째, 잠자리에 들기 전에 하루도 빠짐없이 매일 칫솔질과 치실질을 해 줍니다. 칫솔질을 꼼꼼히 했어도 치실질을 하면 잔여 음식 찌꺼기가 많이 나옵니다. 셋째, 치아에 끈적하게 달라붙는 젤리류 간식은 아이에게 주지 않습니다.​

 

I hope that my child will develop proper dental care habits from a young age and maintain healthy teeth.
