Jasmine: Hmm, tough question. But I'd say that remote-controlled car from my dad tops the list. 그거 어려운 질문인걸. 그래도 난 아빠에게서 받은 원격 조종 자동차가 제일이었던 것 같아.

Sam: Nice! My favortie was that fancy art set my mom got me. Spent hours paintings and drawing. 멋지다. 난 엄마가 사주신 근사한 미술도구가 제일 좋았어. 몇 시간동안 색칠하고 그림 그리고 그랬지.

Jasmine: Artistic, huh? No wonder you're so creative!예술적이구나, 그렇지? 어쩐지 넌 참 창의적이더라.

Sam: Thanks! 고마워!

My First Granddaughter

​

Today marks the 10th day since my first granddaughter was born. My wife and I teared up when we heard a few months ago that our daughter-in-law had struggled with infertility. At the time, we sincerely congratulated her and tried to comfort her.

​

I heard that our in-laws also cried their eyes out upon receiving the news of their long-awaited first grandchild. Both the baby and her mom are currently in a postnatal care center, and we can't see the baby in person. But, we can see her daily growth through an app. Sleeping, opening her eyes, or even yawning-every image of her is simply adorable.

​

I can't wait to hold my granddaughter in my arms. To do that, I must kick the habit of smoking right away. Thinking about the 100th-day celebraion and first birthday party already fills each day with joyful anticipation.

A: I know the feeling. Is she your first grandchild? 그 마음 알죠. 첫 손주인가 봐요?

B: Yes, she is. I can't wait for her to grow up healthy, so we can play together hand in hand.

네. 무럭무럭 건강하게 자라서, 손잡고 함께 뛰어 놀 수 있는 날이 하루빨리 왔으면 좋겠어요.
