20 Years at My Job

 

Today marks 20 years since I graduated from college and joined the workforce, starting my job at this company. I never thought I would work at one company for so long, but 20 years have gone by in a flash.

오늘은 대학을 졸업하고 사회생활을 시작하며 이 회사에 입사한 지 정확히 20년이 되는 날입니다. 이렇게 한 회사에서 오래 일할 줄은 몰랐는데 어느새 20년이라는 세월이 훌쩍 지나가 버렸습니다.

 

I've worked in various departments during my time at this company, including development, marketing, strategy, sales, and service planning. When I first joined 20 years ago, there weren't many female employees. But now, I work with many female executives and there are more working moms. So, it seems like perceptions are gradually shifting.

이 회사에서 일하면서 개발, 마케팅, 전략, 영업, 서비스 기획 등 다양한 부서에서 일을 해 봤습니다. 20년 전 처음 입사했을 때는, 여성 직원들이 많지 않았습니다. 하지만 지금은 많은 여성 임직원들과 함께 일하고 있고 아이를 키우는 워킹맘들도 많아지면서, 인식이 점차 변하고 있는 것 같습니다.

 

I feel proud to share insights about how global companies operate with my children, based on the experience I've gained from working hard all these years. It's what drives me to get to work early each morning.

지금까지 열심히 일하며 얻은 경험을 바탕으로, 저희 아이들에게 글로벌 기업들이 어떻게 일을 해 나가는지 등을 이야기해 줄 수 있어서 뿌듯합니다. 그것이 원동력이 되어 저는 매일 아침 일찍 출근을 합니다.

B: Wow! This years marks your 20th anniversary with the company! 와! 올해가 입사 20주년이군요!

A: Yes, I joined on January 5, 2024. 네, 2004년 1월 5일에 입사했어요.

B: Time really flies, doesn't it? 시간이 참 빠르게 지나가죠?

A: It sure does. I never thought I'd end up working here for so long. 그러게요. 여기서 이렇게 오래 일하게 될 줄은 전혀 몰랐어요.

B: That means you've been doing a great job all this time. 그만큼 지금까지 잘해 오셨다는 말이기도 하지요.
