My Husband's Love of Chicken

 

My husband loves any dish made with chicken, such as samgyetang(chicken ginseng soup) and dakgalbi(spicy stir-fried chicken). He is especially crazy about fried chicken.

저희 남편은 삼계탕과 닭갈비 등 닭으로 만든 음식은 뭐든 좋아합니다. 그중에서도 기름에 튀긴 치킨을 특히 좋아합니다.

 

He spends most of his monthly allowance on buying fried chicken. He says he feels happiest when he is sitting in front of the TV after a hard day's work and eating chicken. My husband always comes up with varous reasons whenever he buys chicken. He says it's to celebrate finishing a task, our child recovering from a cold, the hot weather, the end of a holiday, and so on.

남편은 한 달 용돈의 대부분을 치킨을 사 먹는 데 씁니다. 힘든 하루 일과를 마치고 TV 앞에 앉아서 치킨을 먹을 때가 가장 행복하다고 합니다. 남편은 치킨을 살 때마다 늘 여러 가지 이유를 갖다붙입니다. 맡았던 임무가 끝나서, 아이의 감기가 다 나아서, 날씨가 더워서, 연휴의 끝이라서 등의 이유를 들며 기념으로 치킨을 시킨다고 합니다.

 

If my husband is smiling at his phone, nine times out of ten, he's ordering chicken. Tonight, he said we must try a new garlic-flavored chicken that has just been released. I can only wonder(궁금하기만 하다) how he doesn't get sick of eating fried chicken so often.

남편이 휴대폰을 보면서 웃고 있다면, 열에 아홉은 치킨을 주문하고 있는 것이빈다. 오늘 저녁에는 이제 막 신메뉴로 출시된 마늘 맛 치킨을 꼭 먹어야 한다고 말했습니다. 치킨을 그렇게 자주 먹는데 어떻게 안 질릴 수가 있는지 의문일 뿐입니다.

A: Oh, that must have been delicious. 아, 맛있었겠네요.

B: My husband is crazy about fried chicken, so he orders it all the time. 남편이 치킨을 무척 좋아해서, 너무 자주 시켜요.

A: Really? Don't you get sick of even the tastiest food if you have it too often? 그래요? 맛있는 것도 너무 자주 먹으면 질리지 않나요?

B: I wonder about that too, but he never seems to get tired of it. 저도 그게 궁금한데, 남편은 아무리 먹어도 질리지 않는 것 같아요.
