I majored in English at university. But since my current job isn't related to English, I now study it only as a hobby.

​저는 대학에서 영어를 전공했습니다. 하지만 영어와 관련된 직업이 아니기 때문에, 현재는 영어를 취미 생활로 공부하고 있습니다.

One day, I came across an interview video with actress Kim Hee-ae. In the interview, I learned that she tunes in to EBS radio's "귀트영" and "입트영" every morning. Seeing that lit a fire inside me. So, I subscribed to the study materials for a year, and now I listen to "입트영" every morning.

​어느 날, 저는 배우 김희애 님의 인터뷰 영상을 보게 되었습니다. 그분이 매일 아침 EBS 라디오에서 '귀트영'과 '입트영'을 청취하고 계시다는 걸 알게 되었습니다. 그것을 보며 제 마음속에 불씨가 지펴졌습니다. 그래서 교재를 1년 정기구독을 하고, 현재 매일 아침마다 '입트영'을 청취하고 있습니다.

 

As my interest in English grew, I started looking up content on YouTube and eventually came across videos of "EBS 생활영어." I discovered that the "입트영" instructors have been teaching together since ages ago. Seeing the younger versions of them in the videos felt fascinating and I was glad to see them that way.

​자연스럽게 영어에 대한 관심이 높아지면서, 유튜브에서 영어 콘텐츠를 찾아보다가 'EBS 생활영어' 영상들을 보게 되었습니다. 저는 영상에서 '입트영' 선생님들이 정말 예전부터 함께 가르치셨다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 영상 속에서 선생님들의 앳된 모습을 보니 신기하기도 하고 반갑기도 하였습니다.

A : You've been studying English for a long time, right? 영어 공부를 하신 지 오래됐죠?

B : Yes, I've been at it for almost 15 years without a break, ever since college. 네, 대학교 때부터 멈추지 않고 거의 15년 동안 했어요.

A : Wow, that's a really long time! 와, 정말 오래되셨네요!

B : I studied by tuning in to EBS broadcasts. EBS 방송을 들으며 공부했어요.

A : I see. 그랬군요.

B : After all these years, it's somehow moving to grow older with the instructors.오랜 세월이 흐르다 보니, 선생님들과 같이 나이를 먹어 가는 게 감회가 새롭네요.
