Jack : Sure. Oh, well, l've been feeling pretty out of shape lately. Time to get serious about it. 맞아. 난 요즘 몸이 꽤 많이 망가진 것 같아. 진지하게 관리를 해야 할 때 같아.

Jasmine : Yeah, no more chicken and beer for a while, huh? 그렇구나. 그럼 한동안 치맥은 없겠네?

30 Years of Falling Into You

​

30 years ago today, I met my wife for the first time. I remember everything, including my first impression of her, as if it happended just yesterday.

​

During our 3 years of daing and 22 years of married life, life as a military spouse in harsh, remote conditions could never have been easy for her. Yet, she never lost her smile, and I am deeply grateful.

​

During a marathon, a pacemaker runs side by side with an athlete for 30 kilometers. But they do not appear at the finish line, cheering on the atheletes from behind. Similarly, my wife supported me from behind so that I could shine throughout my life.

​

Now that my retirement is approaching, I want to sincerely express my gratitude to my wife, saying, "Everything was thanks to you."

​

B: It was our 22nd wedding aniversary just a while ago. 얼마 전에 결혼 22주년이었어요.

A: How are you still so lovey-dovey?​ You're like a couple of newlyweds! 어쩜 아직도 그렇게 알콩달콩 사이가 좋으세요? 신혼부부 같아요!

B: I guess it's because I've never forgotten to be grateful to my wife. 항상 아내한테 고마운 마음을 잊지 않아서 그런가 봐요.

A: Wow! That's really wonderful! 와! 너무 멋지시네요!

B: As we get older, my sense of gratitude only gets stronger. 나이 들어가면서 고마운 마음이 점점 커지네요.
