Cutting My Husband's Hair

My husband doesn't like going to get his hair done. The attention he gets from the hairdresser makes him feel uncomfortable. One day, he made a suggestion: "Even if my hair turns out a mess, I want you to cut it for me." I refused many times, but eventually caved(=gave in).

저희 남편은 머리를 하러 미용실에 가는 것을 좋아하지 않습니다. 미용사에게 받는 관심이 부담스럽기 때문입니다.하루는 남편이 "머리가 엉망으로 깎여도 좋으니, 당신이 내 머리를 깎아 줬으면 좋겠어." 라고 제안을 하나 했습니다. 저는 여러 번 거절하다가 결국 제안을 수락했습니다.

I bought a hair clipper and cut my husband's hair. I was a bundle of nerves the first time I cut his hair. I was worried that he would go out with a bad haircut because of me.

저는 이발기를 구입해서 남편의 머리를 깎아 주었습니다. 처음 남편의 머리를 깎을 때는 많이 긴장되었습니다. 저 때문에 남편이 이상한 머리로 사회생활을 할까 봐 걱정되었기 때문입니다.

The results of my first attempt weren't great. My husband said it was fine, trying to put me at ease, but I wasn't satisfied. After some trial and error, I was able to find a style that suits him. I'm glad that my modest skills could be of help to my husband.

저희 첫 시도의 결과는 좋지 않았습니다. 남편은 괜찮다고 하며 저를 안심시키려고 했지만, 제 마음은 편하지 않았습니다. 그렇게 시행착오를 몇 번 거치고 난 후, 저는 남편에게 어울리는 스타일을 찾을 수 있었습니다. 저의 보잘 것없는 손재주가 남편에게 도움이 되어서 기쁩니다.
