My Battle with Tuberculosis

Fifteen years ago, I was prepaing to move into a dormitory after being accepted into the medical school of my dreams. That's when I was diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis(튜버큘'로'시스). Dorm residents are typically required to get an X-ray to check for infectoius diseases, and it was during this screening that my condition was first detected.

I wasn't easy to manage the heavy workload of my studies while receiving treatment. I couldn't afford to cut down on sleep during exams, and taking 13 pills on an empty stomach every day was especially difficult. Fortunately, after six months of medication, I was declared fully cured without any major complications.

At that time(그 순간; At the time 그때), I really came to realize the importance the importance of good health. That's why I try to exercise regualrly and maintain healthy eating habits, no matter how busy I am. Being a patient and living with constant anxiety has(동명사 주어는 단수) also given me invaluable experience now that I am a doctor treaing others.
