What's in My Bag? 가방 속에 뭐가 있을까?

 

There was once a Youtube trend where people introduced the items they carried in their bags. The bags came in all shapes and sizes depending on the person's profession, age, and situation in life. Naturallly, the items they carried around were also diverse, which made what the content(컨텐츠라고 말하는 것들에는 s가 붙지 않음) so interesting.

사람들이 가방 속에 가지고 다니는 물건들을 소개하는 컨텐츠가 유튜브에서 한때 유행하였다. 그 사람의 직업, 나이, 처한 상황에 따라 가방의 형태도 가지각색이었다. 당연히 들고 다니는 물건들도 워낙 다양해서 그런 컨텐츠를 보는 재미가 있었다.

 

Taking a look inside one's bag can tell you a lot about their personality and preferences. The same goes for how many items a person carries in their bag. Personally, I tend to carry a relatively large amount of stuff in my bag.

가방 속을 보면 그 사람의 성격과 성향에 대해 많은 것을 알 수 있다. 가방에 얼마나 많은 물건을 가지고 다니는지도 그렇다. 나는 가방에 짐을 비교적 많이 들고 다니는 편이기는 하다.

 

These days, even celebrities share the contents of their bags, as a way to engage with fans. For example, singer Tiffany once introduced a cute sanitizer in her bag. The product popularity spiked, so much that it became hard to find. The brand gained a lot from celebrity endorsement.

요즘은 연예인들도 자신의 가방에 있는 물건을 공개하며 팬들과 소통하기도 한다. 예를 들어 가수 티파니는 자신의 가방에 있는 예쁜 손 소독제를 소개한 적이 있다. 그러자 그 제품의 인기가 치솟아서 품귀사태까지 갔고, 그 브랜드는 유명인 홍보의 덕을 크게 본 적이 있다.

B: Really? Why do you have so much stuff in your bag? 그래요? 가방 속에 뭐가 그렇게 많아요?

A: I tend to carry a lot of odds and ends with me. 제가 이것저것 좀 많이 들고 다니는 편이에요.

B: Isn't it heavy? 무겁지 않아요?

A: I'm used to it now. 이 정도는 이제 익숙해요.

B: I only carry what I absolutely need in my bag. 저는 가방에 꼭 필요한 물건만 들고 다녀요.
