All the workouts seem to have paid off. 그렇게 열심히 운동하더니 보람이 있었나 보네.

Mike : Hey, Kelly, I got my OnBody results today. 켈리, 나 오늘 온바디 테스트한 결과 받았어.

Kelly : Oh, yeah? What do they say? 아, 그래? 뭐래?

Mike : It looks like my muscle development is pretty balanced. I like that. 근육은 꽤 고르게 발달한 거 같아. 그건 마음에 들어.

Kelly : That's great, Mike. All the workouts seem to have paid off. 그거 잘됐다, 마이크, 그렇게 열심히 운동하더니 보람이 있었나 보네.

Mike : I guess. It also suggests I need to shed about 5 kgs. 그러게. 그리고 5킬로그램 정도 빼야 한다.

Kelly : You've got this. Just watch your diet a little more. 넌 할 수 있어. 먹는 것만 조금 더 조심하면 돼.

Air conditioners 에어컨

 

My room was not getting cooled properly because it was a bit far from the floor-standing air conditioner in the living room.

내 방은 거실에 있는 스탠드 에어컨과 좀 멀리 떨어져 있어서 냉방이 잘 안 되었다.

 

It would be a bit challenging to install a wall-mounted air conditioner because they require an outdoor unit. Meanwhile a system air conditioner in the ceiling was out of the question because it was way too expensive.

벽걸이 에어컨은 실외기까지 설치해야 해서 내 방에 설치하기에는 조금 무리가 있었다. 한편, 천장에 설치하는 시스템 에어컨은 비용이 상당히 들 것 같아서 애당초 포기했다.

 

So, I did some research online to choose between a portable air conditioner and a window air conditioner. Each had its pros and cons. Eventually, I settled on a window air conditioner. But after having it installed, I realized I could barely crack open the window. Fortunately, I have another window in my room, so I don't have to worry about ventilazation.

그래서 이동식 에어컨과 창문형 에어컨 중 하나를 고르기 위해 인터넷을 찾아보았다. 각각 일장일단이 있었다. 결국 창문형 에어컨을 구매하기로 결정했다. 하지만 설치를 하고 나니, 창문을 조금밖에 열지 못한다는 것을 알게 되었다. 다행히 내 방에는 창문이 하나 더 있어서 환기에 대한 걱정은 할 필요가 없다.

 

The noise isn't too bad. Plus, it has a top energy efficency rating, which helps reduce the electricity bill. It also comes with a lifetime warranty for customer service, so I am very satisfied with my purchase.

소음도 크지 않고, 게다가 에너지 소비효율도 1등급이어서 전기세 부담도 덜 수 있다. A/S도 평생 보증이 된다고 하니 구입한 제품에 대해 대만족이다.

A: I guess you'll be able to stay cool this summer. 이번 여름은 시원하게 나시겠어요.

B: Sure. Plus, it has a high energy efficiency rating, which should reduce the electricity bill.

맞아요. 게다가 에너지 소비 효율 등급도 높아서 전기세도 덜 나올 것 같아요.

A: I suppose so. 그러겠네요.

B: I'm already looking forward to spending the summer in comfort in my room. 제 방에서 쾌적한 여름을 보낼 생각에 벌써부터 기대가 되네요.
